British lawyers representing victims of toxic waste contamination that left ten people dead and thousands ill in Cote d'Ivoire have started gathering evidence against the London-based shipping company behind the incident.
The Government and its regulators are not doing enough to tackle unpaid water bills and accelerate innovation in the water industry, a Lords committee has said.
The EU proposed to slash greenhouse emissions by a fifth by 2020, and pledged to raise the bar to 30% if joined by other developed nations - the level of carbon cuts needed to avert "massive and irreversible" climate-caused destruction, it said.
