#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie’s loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. It launched in the early stages of the pandemic in 2020 and has continued since then, keeping us connected to the inspirational business leaders who are continuing to drive sustainability and climate action.
Now, #SustyTalk is evolving from a video format to an audio-only format. This episode sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George in discussion with Premier Foods’ ESG director Nick Brown. Long-time edie readers may have met Nick, or read one of our interviews with him, in his previous role at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
A little over a year into his time at Premier Foods, which owns brands including Mr Kipling and OXO, Nick reflects on the development and implementation of the business’s new ‘Enriching Life’ strategy. The 2030 strategy includes (to name but a few targets) a net-zero ambition supported by 1.5C-aligned science-based climate targets; an ambition to donate at least one million meals each year; a commitment to end deforestation in the supply chain and growth plans for plant-based foods.
Nick is on hand to provide learnings on conducting materiality assessments, setting science-based targets, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), forging meaningful partnerships, and more, in our last SustyTalk of 2022.
